Ability to evaluate students' technology proficiency and students' technology-based products within curricular areas.
Summative assessments were done throughout the lessons. I assessed the individual students through questioning, observation, and discussion. I also assessed the students through the use of technology. The students were able to use technology to immediately send their work to me and receive instant feedback.
I also used rubrics as a grading tool and to let the students know what was expected before they started their work.The rubric I created in ED 505, which assesses student learning and technology skills, utilizes the NET standards for my particular grade level. As I required students to explore, engage in, and create technology-centered projects, I continuously assessed their technological gains with this rubric. After assessment, I reflected upon what tools were best for my students and how well their skills with these tools increased.
I also use self monitoring tools like group grades. This allowed the students to grade each others efforts which ensured that they stayed on task in order to get a good grade.
